FHR made a major shift in programming since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. As soon as the economic hardships brought on by the pandemic came into view the critical issue of housing became of utmost importance. Within a few short weeks, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of individuals and families became financially unstable and in need of financial assistance to pay rent, mortgage, and/or utilities. FHR quickly began a referral based COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance (CERA) program, and when asked to case manage local government programs, took that on as well. We are so grateful to those corporate businesses that are stepping up during this unprecedented time and would like to recognize and show our utmost gratitude for Wells Fargo whose funding support has allowed us to pivot our work and focus on the most pressing needs of our community.
