Volunteers
Family Housing Resources has assisted more than 12,000 households in the purchase of their homes and also provide homes through our affordable residential properties program. With the help of volunteers, we can completely transform the lives of families by assisting them with affordable housing and financial education. We envision a community where everyone has access to quality housing. Through one of our volunteer programs you can be part of that change that improves the lives of many. Help us help others by joining the FHR family and our vision to provide families a place to call home.
Volunteering at Family Housing Resources is rewarding, productive and simple. We have open opportunities often in either our corporate office or at one of our property locations and are currently offering remote opportunities for safety. Openings can be short and long term, and typically occur within our office hours from Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are assigned based on their availability and abilities; we strive to match each volunteer to activities where they are involved in rewarding experiences while supporting FHR’s mission of creating lasting solutions to help individuals and families reach financial freedom through housing support, education and partnership.

Teaching Basic Computer Skills for Seniors
FHR encourages anyone that might be interested in becoming an intern or Service Corp participant to apply for our open job positions. Working to help FHR accomplish its mission is rewarding and productive. Tracked hours can be used to fulfill school and work requirements.
Groups of volunteers are always welcome to hop on and support FHR’s mission. These groups may be assigned to activities in our residential properties. Contact us at volunteer@fhrinc.net for more details or click the link below for a Volun
Help Stock our Food Pantry for Low-Income Seniors:
At our senior living complex, Silverwood Casitas, we have an in-person “grab and go” food pantry where our residents can take everyday shelf-stable healthy food supplies whenever they needed them to supplement their groceries and food box donations. Because these residents live on very limited incomes, sometimes their food budget doesn’t stretch far enough. Would you or your group like to hold a small food drive or fund drive (where you donate funds and we can purchase fresh foods)?
We’d love your help! Contact us at 520-318-0993 to coordinate.
We are able to open our doors to volunteers that are at least 14 years old. Youth Volunteers are welcome and often help with organizational office duties or in special events.
FHR offers community service hours for volunteers that need to fulfill requirements for any certain program. Before beginning activities with FHR, Community Service Volunteers shall email us at volunteer@fhrinc.net for more information on additional requirements requested.
